Location of Cascadas del Tué near Penonome, Panamá

Situated just 8 kilometres north east of the historic and bustling market town of Penonome with Rio Tué running diagonally through the centre of the development, Cascadas del Tué lies within the boundaries of the district of La Negrita, a simple hamlet set amongst rolling hills, sufficiently far from the urban masses to offer seclusion and privacy, but within easy reach of local amenities.

Penonome, capital of the Coclé province, marks the centre of the isthmus of Panamá, lying less than 2 hours west of Panama City along the Pan American Highway, and approximately 3 hours from the Costa Rican border. It has excellent local facilities including a new hospital, supermarket and a vibrant market, where friendly local people will sell you anything that you may reasonably require.

Still within easy reach of civilisation; the burgeoning Costa Pacifica lies less than 40 minutes away along the Pan American Highway, giving access to the beaches of Playa Blanca, where Nikki Beach are building a new development; as well as Santa Clara and  Royal Decamaron with its world class 18 hole golf course, and numerous other beaches beyond.

The area around Penonome is fast becoming a sought after location, with new infrastructure being built including a new metalled road connecting it with the fashionable hilltop town of El Valle. This road runs close by Cascadas del Tué.

A second road is being built north of Santiago making a connection between the mountain town of Santa Fe and the Caribbean coast to the east of the Bocas del Toro archipelago. Cascadas del Tué is therefore ideally positioned for exploring the varied delights of the Panamanian interior at the same time as being within easy reach of the capital.

In addition, one of the three new International Airports planned by the new forward thinking Panamanian government will make access to this region increasingly more convenient and attractive, either for retirement, as a holiday home or as an investment.
